We will also need a wall between Canada and the United States: Congressman Tancredo in conversation with Sarwar Kashmeri

Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) explains why Coloradans elected him five times and what message that sends to NH voters. Listen to his forthright discussion of protecting America's borders, North and South; his opinion on whether "Scooter" Libby ought to be pardoned and the lack of interest that young Americans display during the televised debates.

When I listened to this podcast and heard Mr. Tancredo say that he supported the idea of a wall build on our northern border with Canada I had to back the interview up and listen again. We share a 5,500 mile long border with Canada (including Alaska). This might be one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard come out of a politician’s mouth. Along the same logic here’s a more cost effective approach that would yield better results. Let’s dig a giant moat along both borders. We could fill the moats with alligators, sharks, and other nasty creatures. People would be too afraid to swim across and it would also solve the tunneling problem. While we’re at it all the earth we remove to build the moats could be used to backfill the Gulf Coast giving them more solid ground to rebuild on. This way our borders are secure and we’ve solved some future hurricane flooding problems.
